Brenda Walker

Brenda Lee Walker was born June 30, 1961, in Woodville, Mississippi, to the late Theodore and Dorothy Bethley Hull. She departed this life on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at approximately 8:30 p.m. in Woodville, Mississippi.

Brenda grew up in Woodville, MS, in the Donegal area, where she attended Wilkinson County High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1979. She also attended Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi.

On November 14, 1981, she was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, George Walker, Jr., and to this union, two sons, Rashad and Brandon, were born.

In 1984, Brenda chose to give her life to the Lord and was baptized in the beautiful name of Jesus Christ and received the gift of the Holy Ghost under the leadership of Pastor Stephen Wheeler at the First Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.

During her lifetime, she was employed by the William Carter Company in Centreville, MS; The Fruit of the Loom Company in Woodville, MS; Air Cruisers in Liberty, Mississippi; and later went to work at the Louisiana State Penitentiary until her retirement.

She was blessed to retire and spent the remaining part of her life doing the things she enjoyed, such as shopping, decorating her home, or just curling up on the sofa (of course, with George right beside her).

Brenda was very family-oriented. Buddy, Rashad, and those girls meant the world to her. She also loved her siblings and the rest of her family unconditionally. She looked forward to the vacation trips, but more than anything, she loved the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a very devoted son, Rashad Dontrell Walker (daughter-in-law, Arielle Rodshena Walker); three beautiful granddaughters: Madison Nicole, Gabrielle LaShae, and Kennedi Brooke Walker; sisters: Vivian-Ulysse Jean of Lithonia, GA; Catherine and Rondy Owens of Norwalk, CT; Torestha Hardial and Linda Johnson, both of Georgia; Tameka and Timothy Bickham of Woodville, MS; brothers: Theodore and Deborah Hull of Norwalk, CT; Eddie and Glenda Hull of Woodville, MS; and Darren Hull of Bridgeport, CT. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Brenda departed this earthly life alongside her beloved husband, George Walker, Jr. Together, they were called from this life on the same day, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, and cherished memories.

She was preceded in death by both parents, Theodore and Dorothy Hull; her son, Brandon Delvon Walker; a sister, Rachell Hull; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
