Charles Edward Lee

Charles Edward Lee was born to Joseph Lee Sr. and Lucille Jones Lee in Centreville, Mississippi on July 9, 1946.

He was baptized at an early age at the Winans Chapel C. M. E Church, in Centreville, Mississippi.

He was a graduate of Wilkinson County Training School, class of 1964. He was a building and trade instructor at the Wilkinson County Vocational Center for 25 years. He was a former employee of Georgia Pacific in Gloster, Mississippi. He also worked throughout the Wilkinson and Amite counties for many years earning a living as a carpenter to support his family.

Charles peacefully departed his physical home at the Baton Rouge General Hospital, "Butterfly Wing", on July 28, 2025 at 1 AM.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife, Cheryl Russell Lee of 21 years; three children, Timothy James (Gloria) Lee of Fredericksburg, VA, Deborah Conrad of Centreville, MS, and Spencer (Latisha) Bailey of Coles, MS; one brother, Calvin (Rose) Lee of McComb, MS; father-in-law, Leroy Russell of New Orleans, LA; five sisters-in-law, Helen Lee and Kathleen Lee of Centreville, MS, Nancy (George)Reed, Irma Gibbs, and Markethia Nelson of New Orleans, LA; three brothers-in-law, Clarence Williams and Troy Russell of New Orleans, LA., and Albert Russell of Shreveport, LA; three stepchildren: Jason Miles of Humble, TX, Natalie Miles of Baton Rouge, LA and Leon Veals Jr. of Humble, TX; eight grandchildren: Javonte Hill, Jaylen Lee, Christopher Lee, Eric Stanley, Spencer Bailey Jr, Zaidyn Bailey, Aubrielle Bailey and Kingston Bailey; three step grandchildren: Treylen Johnson, Cameron Davis and Jay'Ceon Davis; two great granddaughters: Alayah Stanley and Naomi Hill, and a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Joseph Lee Jr, Dorothy Brown, Willie Lee, Hattie Anderson, Elma Lee and Samuel "Boone" Howard.
