Derrick Duane Stines was born October 3, 1977 to the late Velma Robinson Stines and Charlie Stines, Sr.

A Time to Live

At an early age, Derrick accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at the Allen Chapel A.M.E Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Lloyd Bailey.

A Time to Learn

Derrick began his educational journey at the Wilkinson County School District but later moved to New Orleans, LA where he completed his education. Derrick wore many roles on various jobs, and he was currently working at Metro PCS of McComb in McComb, MS. Derrick enjoyed life, laughter and family. He always believed God was going to make a way out of no way!

Gaining His Wings

Derrick gained his wings June 6, 2026 on Highway 24 East in Centreville, MS. Derrick leaves behind many broken hearts and plenty of love ones to cherish and live with his memories. A special friend, Lorain Williams flew away with him during this tragic transition.

Derrick was preceded in death by his grandparents Louis James Robinson, Jessie Mae Robinson, Bill and Annie Stine, Velma Stine (mother), uncles, aunt, and cousin.

A Time to Cherish

Derrick sends smiles to his father, Willie O. Stines, Sr. "Charlie" (Sarah C. Stine); a brother Lakeith Robinson; two sisters, Stephanie Smith (Anthony) and Mequan "Mick" Cage; nephew, Caleo Hill (Jasmine) along with many other friends, family members, and a host of aunts, uncles and Gloria Johnson (Buckwee) who was like a second mother to him.
