Ruth Louise Turner was born October 12, 1939 to the late Briton and Thelma Turner in Wilkinson County.
Ruth was baptized at an early age by the late Rev. Allen Scott. She served on the Deaconess Board at the Rose Hill Baptist Church until her health declined. she was married to the late Wilbert Scott, Sr.
On February 3, 2026, Ruth departed this earthy life to rest in God's care. She was preceded in death by her parents, Briton and Thelma Turner; brothers, Henry Turner, Sr., James Turner, Sr., Dan Turner, Sr., Willie Turner, Sr., and Jessie Turner, Sr.; sister, Annie Arbuthnot, great grandchildren, Zacari Scott and Clarence Scott, Jr.; nephew, Briton Turner and godchild, Tyrekia James.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her four sons: Wilbert (Orlean) Scott of St. Francisville, LA, James (Deloris Hollins) Scott, Sr., Clarence (Sabrina) Scott, and Ernest (La Tasha) Turner, all of Woodville, MS; goddaughter, Janice Carter; two brothers, George Turner and Frank (Rose) Turner of Woodville, MS; three sisters-in-law, Martha Turner, Rose Marie Turner, and LeDora Bandford-Turner; a special daughter, Rosa Scott; 11 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
