Enaje Nalae "Queen" Bates (Noodles)

Celebrating The Life and Legacy of A Queen:

Enaje Nelae Bates was born on January 21, 2008, to the late Charlitha Bates of Centreville, Mississippi, and Darryl Robinson of Liberty, Mississippi. Enaje was a senior at Wilkinson County High School, where she proudly held the title of Miss Senior. She was an active member of the WCHS Track and Field Team, with track being one of her greatest passions, and she was also a dedicated member of FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America). Enaje was an inspiring young entrepreneur who loved styling hair and bringing confidence to others through her creativity.

Enaje had dreams of continuing her education at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, where she planned to major in nursing. She possessed a natural compassion for others, especially children, and had a heart for caring, nurturing, and protecting those around her. Enaje’s love for kids reflected her gentle spirit and her desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Her aspiration to become a nurse was rooted in her selflessness and her calling to serve with love, patience, and grace.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her father, Darryl Robinson; her honorary mother, Pamela Bates-Brister (Cory Brister); two honorary sisters, Nakierra and Ti’Ann Brister; one honorary brother, Darrione Brister; one grandmother, Mary Ann Robinson; three godmothers, Markeitha (Xavier) Tickles, Femeka Singleton, and Felicia Williams; nine god-sisters, Amanda Singleton, Ashley Bell, Oralnisha Huff,Maryonna Huff, Emily Power, Zamerian Faust, Ashanti Covington,Adore Covington, and A’Kerriyah Covington; two god-brothers, Deontae and Keondre Allen; a special friend, Marcus Green Jr.; one special cousin, Jabarri Robinson; five special sisters, Diamonieceia Brown, Ed’Zyreia Reese, Kimbrenesia Banks, Ja’Mira Slack, and Carisma Jackson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Enaje was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be forever cherished in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlitha Bates; one aunt, Alisha Bates; one brother, Christopher Smith, Jr.; her grandparents, Charlie Lee Bates and Barbara Ann Bates, and Joe Robinson; her great-grandparents; and two cousins, Jhoskesia Bates and Kierra Rogers.

Her spirit will live on through every shared story, every echo of laughter, and every act of love inspired by her beautiful example. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her presence remains woven into the lives she touched and the memories she created. She will be forever carried in our hearts, guiding us with love, strength, and the light she so freely gave.
