Rosie Ray Powell was born on April 11, 1942, in Centreville, Mississippi, to the late Lillie Graves Ray and the late Calvin Ray Sr. On January 28, God sent His angels to open the gates and welcome her into her heavenly home.
Rosie accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. White, and throughout her life she served as a shepherd by spreading God’s love and Word to all she encountered.
She held numerous career endeavors; however, two positions that remained closest to her heart were her time as a technician at Carter’s Sewing Factory in Centreville, Mississippi, and her work as a nuclear decontamination technician at several nuclear plants, from which she retired.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her three children: Sharon Powell Weathersby, Joseph Powell Jr., and Melvin Powell, along with a host of dear family members and friends.
