William D. Walker, a lifelong resident of Woodville, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at his home on November 29, 2025. Born on January 5, 1939, in Woodville, he was the beloved son of Lynch Walker and Elizabeth Mealey Walker.
William spent many years working as a laborer for the Town of Woodville, where he was known for his dedication, steady work ethic, and commitment to serving his community. Beyond his work, he was a devoted father and grandfather whose greatest joy came from the love of his family. His gentle spirit, warmth, and loyalty will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
William was preceded in death by his parents and numerous siblings.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two children, Eric Thompson of Woodville, Mississippi, and Debra D. Jackson (Marvin) of Woodville; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his brother, Joe Walker of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
William’s memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved, and his legacy of kindness and dedication will continue to inspire all who were blessed to share in his life.
